Edwards Populist With No Answers
Edwards in responding to a question regarding mills being closed offered only empty rhetoric in the worst way. To the same question, Kerry, at least offered a couple answers to the issue. How did Edwards respond? To paraphrase Edwards basically said he was the only one who could understand what the mill workers “felt” since he grew up among them. He said you first have to think about the “pain they are feeling.” Very Clintonian, “I feeeel yooour ppaiin.” He then criticized Kerry’s position on job training, but offered not one solution to the problem.
So tell me, JE, are you against federal funding of job training? What would you do give them a hug instead?
